English Summary

Welcome to www.healthcareinterpreting.org!

This site was first launched in 2003 as medicalinterpreting.org by St. Catherine Unversity through a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  The site has now been expanded and redeveloped under HealthcareInterpreting.org.

We hope this site will become an exciting and important interactive resource for interpreters, interpreter educators, health care providers and members of the Deaf Community.  We welcome your feedback and blog/vlog posts.  We want this to become a community resource to which many will contribute and link information leading to better access to the American Health Care System for deaf and deaf-blind people.

Thank you for stopping by!

Discover Interpreting

The NCIEC has embarked on a nationwide marketing campaign, 'Discover Interpreting,' designed to draw men and women from diverse backgrounds into careers as American Sign Language-English interpreters. The goal of the project is to create an attractive, inviting image of interpreting as a viable career option through the production and dissemination of brochures and posters, a recruitment website, public service announcements, and other media materials. Visit DiscoverInterpreting.com to find out what interpreting is all about, explore links to helpful resources, and order Discover Interpreting brochures.
